Working in another culture is rewarding
I came to Nokian Tyres' product development in 2003, and for the past few years I have worked at the Russian plant. My tasks include production running-in and training local quality engineers and technicians. It is great to work in an international environment with lovely colleagues.
My work is a combination of production and engineering with the active contact with production being one of the greatest parts of my job. In addition, the foreign culture adds interesting challenges and variety to my work. Winning comparison tests crystallises the work we have put in: we make the best tyres! Those are particularly great moments for us here in product development – we feel we are an integral part of creating a new, safer product.
