Remember

  • When selecting a tyre, always choose one that matches your usage in the best possible way. In addition to the three characteristics, there are a number of other factors related to safety, performance, and the environment that tyre developers and testers take into account.
  • Although the new label makes it easier to compare tyre models, you should also support your decision by consulting the following, for example tyre retail experts or independent magazine test articles.
  • The wet grip rating for a tyre does not indicate how suitable the tyre is for the real winter weather. Instead, it may be misleading and endanger traffic safety. In demanding and varying winter conditions, the most important safety characteristics for tyres are ice grip and snow grip.

CONVENIENCE MEETS SAFETY

Our expertise in winter safety and excellent performance on varying driving conditions can be seen and felt by looking at the Season Sense concept. The concept consists of innovative features combining the tire's tread design, structure and rubber compound and is made to ensure safe driving on versatile weather conditions. Life is made easier for the hard-working professionals and busy vacationers by the excellent wet grip and aquaplaning resistance combined with top-class durability.

MAXIMUM DURABILITY

The durability of the Nokian Tyres Seasonproof C is maximized thanks to our unique Aramid Sidewall technology. The extremely strong aramid fibers strengthen the sidewalls providing more durability and protection for demanding driving situations. This technology protects the tire against impacts, cuts, and potholes. Combined with a sturdy, tailored construction with thick steel belts, the Nokian Tyres Seasonproof C offers maximum durability and improved service life for heavy loads and rugged road conditions.

VERSATILE ALL-SEASON PERFORMANCE

The Season Sense concept combines innovative technical features on the tread design, rubber compound and structure. For versatile all-season performance and ultimate safety on snow and dry, we tailored the tread compound for impressive wet grip, mileage and fuel efficiency and modernized the tread pattern to offer year-round safety and comfort. The strong structure with patented Nokian Tyres’ Aramid Sidewall technology offers unique durability and improved wear life.

IMPROVED TRACTION AND BRAKING GRIP

The Grip Claws between the tread blocks on the surface of the tire improve grip, especially when braking and accelerating. These special claws were designed to assist moving on snowy roads and other soft surfaces. The claws effectively grip a soft surface during braking and accelerating and add safety for driving on both snow and other soft terrain types.

DRIVING SAFETY INDICATOR

Nokian Tyres Seasonproof C features the Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), which helps the driver know when they should change their tires. The weardown indicator shows the remaining tread depth in millimeters. The numbers fade away as the tire wears down. For safe winter driving, the required groove depth is between 4 and 5 millimetres. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the groove depth is four millimetres. Once the snowflake symbol wears off, the driver should buy new tires to ensure adequate driving safety.
