Nokian Tyres gets good grades for corporate responsibility

Product safety and high quality, as well as profitable growth, excellent management of Human Resources and environmental issues are important for the development of sustainable business operations in Nokian Tyres.

Nokian Tyres received consistently good results in the global 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Index. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the world's most respected comparison of large companies in terms of corporate responsibility. Every year, the 3,400 largest listed companies in the world, representing dozens of different sectors, are invited to participate.

The evaluations reviews the corporate responsibility of the companies' operations from 18 different perspectives including environmental affairs, human rights, accountability in the procurement chain, and safety in the workplace.

In the 2015 evaluation, Nokian Tyres was graded above average for its sector in all of the 18 sub-areas. The evaluation is carried out by a Swiss company named RobecoSam.
