Got R3 two weeks ago and now two two winter storms of a foot of snow, and ice and snow in Colorado mountains, and Wyoming. Incredible sure footed, renewed faith in stopping power. Takes effort to lose traction, a drifted area of road was effortlessly navigated. Worth extra money, confidence renewed, Highly recommend.

I bought a set of R3s a month ago. On dry and wet the tires are fantastic, good handling, quiet, very nice to drive. Then the first snow came and I could say, I am much less impressed. It is a bit had to compare because this season I also changed car. My old was S60 with some good nonames in front and good Haka 8 in the back, the acceleration in snow was decent and breaking was good, almost impressive. This car is A4 Quattro with R3s. The acceleration is good, probably because of quattro, but breaking distances seem to be at somewhat longer. I also feel that the ABS works a lot harder when breaking. I will probably get used to them, but spontaneously it feels to say that Haka 8 was better.

Used these during 2018-2019 winter season here in Sweden on my 2007 Lexus LS600h. By far the best winter tyres I've had! Extremely quiet, smooth and with excellent grip and handling. Highly recommended!
