NOKIAN TYRES PRESENT TWO HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER TYRE NOVELTIES

Nokian Tyres has developed two high performance car summer tyre novelties. The Nokian NRVi and Nokian NRY tyres are suitable for top speeds and demanding driving. High performance segment is the strongest growth area in summer tyre markets. The new tyres are tailored for Central Europe, the USA and the Nordic countries. Consumer sales will start in spring 2003.

Nokian NRVi is a quiet V-speed category (240 km/h) summer tyre with the utmost performance ability. The key focus area in the tyre development was the tyre noise that is minimised with several innovative solutions. An info field in the tyre's bead area is an innovation that facilitates tyre maintenance and increases driver's comfort. The tyre mechanic marks the correct inflation pressure of the tyre in the info field. When checking the inflation pressure, the driver can confirm the right pressure level from the info field. The Nokian NRVi is manufactured in 19 sizes.

Nokian NRY is an ultra high performance tyre with a maximum speed of 300 km/h. The tyre structure is designed for high speeds. Silver-grey stripes located on the tyre's main grooves reflect individual and sophisticated design. Nokian NRY is available in six sizes. The sizes are the original sizes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Daimler, Jaguar and Cadillac, among others.
