The compound minimizes rolling resistance while maximizing grip in variable weather. The low rolling resistance and extended service life makes Seasonproof 1 energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

ONE SEASON MORE

The wear resistance of the Nokian Tyres Seasonproof 1 has been heavily upgraded. This significant increase, up to 30%, means that the tires are good for up to an additional driving season. This is a major leap forward in the service life of the tire and may correspond to one more season depending on the driving style. Longer service life helps preserving the environment as tires do not need to be replaced as often.

The Season Sense concept is developed for versatile all-season use to ensure driving on rain and slush is safe, but also comfortable and controlled on dry roads during hot summer days.The concept combines three innovative technical features in the tire's siping, tread design and rubber compound.

PREMIUM GRIP ON SNOW

A familiar feature from our winter tires, the snow claws situated between the tread blocks provide powerful grip and stable driving feel. The claws effectively grip a snowy surface during braking and accelerating and increases driving safety on both soft snow and other soft terrain types. The snow grip boosters improve the longitudinal grip needed for braking and accelerating.

ADVANCED WET PROPERTIES

The maximum wet and slush grip is accomplished by the all-season water and slush channels, while the Season Sense 1.0 compound takes care of the improvements in mileage, durability, and overall wet performance.The Season Sense 1.0 compound is made to excel in varying conditions; it works magnificently along a wide range of temperatures and can withstand intense wear even in fierce summer heat.

DRIVING SAFETY INDICATOR

Nokian Tyres Seasonproof 1 features the Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), which helps the driver to know when their tires should be changed. The weardown indicator shows the remaining tread depth in millimeters, and the numbers fade away as the tire wears down. For safe winter driving, the required groove depth is between 4 and 5 millimetres. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the groove depth is four millimetres. Once the snowflake symbol wears off, the driver should buy new tires to ensure adequate driving safety.
