The new all-season tread compound of Nokian Seasonproof is made to excel in a wide range of temperatures, and withstand intense wear caused by sudden cold spells or hot summer days. The compound is carefully developed to minimize rolling resistance while maximizing grip in various conditions. The low rolling resistance makes the Nokian Seasonproof a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly option.

SEASON SENSE CONCEPT

The Season Sense concept combines three innovative technical features in the tire's siping, tread design and rubber compound. For versatile all-season performance and ultimate safety on snow and dry, we tailored the multifunctional all-season siping and modernized directional tread pattern. The maximum wet and slush grip is accomplished by the new all-season water and slush channels, and the new high silica rubber compound takes care of the excellent durability, wet grip and low rolling resistance.

ADDED GRIP ON SNOW

A familiar feature from our winter tires, the snow claws situated between the tread blocks provide powerful grip and stable driving feel. The claws effectively grip a snowy surface during braking and accelerating and add safety for driving on both soft snow and other soft terrain types.

ADVANCED TRACTION AND CONTROL

The new tread also offers improved summer performance. The improvements are evident in the tire's wet and dry braking properties, as the wet and dry surface siping offers shorter stopping distances and safety in corners by advanced traction and control. The bound center area with tailored tread blocks and sipes are made to offer optimal performance for varying weather conditions.

DRIVING SAFETY INDICATOR

Nokian Seasonproof features the Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), which helps the driver know when they should change their tires. The weardown indicator shows the remaining tread depth in millimeters. The numbers fade away as the tire wears down. For safe winter driving, the required groove depth is between 4 and 5 millimetres. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the groove depth is four millimetres. Once the snowflake symbol wears off, the driver should buy new tires to ensure adequate driving safety.
