Since its release in 2014, Nokian Hakkapeliitta TRI has become the tire of choice among many contractors as well as OEM manufacturers. While it makes the winter contracting – such as clearing the streets and living areas from snow – more effective, the tire retains a good performance in activities in the three other seasons as well. Over the years the size range has grown, making Nokian Hakkapeliitta TRI tires compatible with many compact machines in addition to tractors. Now the tire is available in new sizes further expanding its use.

Maxpo, the largest exhibition of land construction and environmental maintenance machines in Finland, will bring everyone in the industry to Hyvinkää airport starting from September 5. Nokian Tyres will be presenting new products and tire sizes for every aspect of versatile contracting work – from excavators to trucks.
Nokian Heavy Tyres Ltd Acquires a Finnish Heavy Equipment Wheel Company Levypyörä Oy

In line with Nokian Heavy Tyres growth strategy, the company is acquiring a Finnish heavy equipment wheel company Levypyörä Oy. With its two business lines, wheels and steel structures, Levypyörä serves several original equipment (OE) manufacturers and aftermarket customers (AM) in forestry, agriculture and earthmoving applications. Annual net sales of Levypyörä is approximately EUR 18 million.
The biggest investment in the history of Nokian Heavy Tyres is taking shape on time: the 3,500-square-meter R&D Center will be ready in 2019 and the factory will reach full capacity in 2021

In 2018, Nokian Heavy Tyres announced a massive undertaking: to increase the production of commercial tires up to 50 percent and more than double the number of new products by investing heavily on production and product development.
