Transporting company Juhani Tuominen trusts Nokian Tyres for harvesting and transporting timber

Operating from Orivesi, Finland, Kuljetusliike Juhani Tuominen serves forest industry by harvesting timber with over 20 forestry machines and transporting it with a fleet of some 20 trucks. They are remarkably loyal to Nokian Tyres products, using them on trucks, timber trailers and flatbed trailers.

“We are using Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta Truck F2 as front axle, Hakkapeliitta Truck E2 tires on the drive axle and R-Truck Trailer tires on both the front and rear axles of our trailers”, says CEO Jarkko Tuominen while presenting one of their timber trucks. “We are satisfied customers of Nokian Tyres!” 

Joni Rajalampi, who drives one of the timber combinations, noticed an immediate difference when the tires were changed on his vehicle.

"The timber truck became much smoother to drive on highways. It didn’t get stuck in ruts as easily," he says. "In rural areas, where there are lots of hills, curves, and turns, the lateral and longitudinal grip of the tires is definitely sufficient."
