Electric vehicles generate less powertrain noise, making tire noise an increasingly important part of driving comfort. Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10 EV features SilentDrive™ Technology, which helps reduce noise transmitted into the vehicle cabin. A layer of acoustic foam integrated into the tire structure absorbs resonance from the tire's air cavity, helping lower interior noise levels and support a quieter, more comfortable driving experience.

Double stud grip

The center studs are designed to support acceleration and braking performance on winter roads. The star-shaped studs on both shoulders of the tire are rotated by 180 degrees, helping position the stud edges effectively when they contact the road surface. This design supports grip during turning and lane changes, while also contributing to lateral grip and handling. Optimized stud placement helps reduce noise and supports driving comfort.

Improved stud retention

The innovative stud solution combines an increased base layer thickness with a special stud cushion and air-damping technology. The air pocket in the bottom flange helps soften stud contact with the road surface and reduce road wear. Additional rubber around the stud base helps keep the studs securely in place.

Comfort in motion

SilentDrive™ Technology is designed to support driving comfort by reducing noise generated inside the tire. A layer of acoustic foam integrated into the tire structure absorbs resonance from the tire's air cavity, helping lower interior noise levels. The technology contributes to a quieter and more comfortable driving experience.

Designed for winter

The tread compound combines winter grip with low rolling resistance. Developed using advanced mixing technology and carefully selected raw materials, the compound is designed to perform in a wide range of winter conditions while also maintaining performance in milder weather. Low rolling resistance helps reduce the energy required to keep the vehicle moving.

You'll know when it's time

The patented Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) helps drivers monitor remaining tread depth throughout the tire's service life. The indicator displays the remaining tread depth in millimeters together with a snowflake symbol. The snowflake remains visible until four millimeters of tread remain. When the snowflake disappears, it is time to consider replacing the tires.

Grip and control when it matters the most

Braking, cornering and lane changes can be particularly demanding in winter conditions. The innovative Double Stud Technology is designed to enhance grip across a wide range of winter driving situations, and to support drivers maintain control in challenging winter conditions. All studs are precisely positioned using advanced studding technology.
