The tread area is divided into two functional zones designed to support driving comfort, winter grip and vehicle control. The Dual Zone Safety concept consists of the Grip Zone and the Handling Zone, which work together to provide predictable performance in changing winter conditions. The Grip Zone features small tread blocks and aggressive siping to support snow traction and braking, while the Handling Zone is designed to enhance stability and control on dry roads and at higher speeds.

The concept brings together the tread pattern, tailored siping and rubber compound, which are designed to work together to support driving comfort and control. The tread design helps remove snow and slush from between the tire and the road, while the 3D siping supports grip during braking and cornering.

The Alpine Grip 2.0 compound is designed for demanding winter conditions while also performing in milder weather. It maintains flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, helping support grip in changing conditions. The compound's high silica content contributes to wet grip performance, while low rolling resistance helps reduce the energy required to keep the vehicle moving.

The Hydroflow Grooves are designed to help reduce the risk of aquaplaning by channeling water and slush away from the contact area between the tire and the road. The grooves create a clear path for water to flow away from the road surface, supporting grip and control on wet and slushy roads.
You'll know when it's time
The Nokian Tyres Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) helps you monitor remaining tread depth and know when it is time to replace your tires. The wear indicator displays the remaining tread depth in millimeters, with the numbers gradually disappearing as the tire wears. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the tread depth reaches four millimeters. When the snowflake disappears, it signals that the tire should be replaced to maintain winter performance.
