max load 560 kg, up to 190 km/h

Remember

  • When selecting a tyre, always choose one that matches your usage in the best possible way. In addition to the three characteristics, there are a number of other factors related to safety, performance, and the environment that tyre developers and testers take into account.
  • Although the new label makes it easier to compare tyre models, you should also support your decision by consulting the following, for example tyre retail experts or independent magazine test articles.
  • The wet grip rating for a tyre does not indicate how suitable the tyre is for the real winter weather. Instead, it may be misleading and endanger traffic safety. In demanding and varying winter conditions, the most important safety characteristics for tyres are ice grip and snow grip.

THE SNOW EXPERT

Nokian Tyres Snowproof 2 covers all winter driving conditions with predictable handling and specialized safety features for wet, dry, slushy, and snowy roads. Behind these features is the Alpine Sense Grip concept, which is a unique combination of exceptional grip and predictable and balanced driving feel. The concept consists of the tread pattern, the siping and the rubber compound working together supporting safe and comfortable driving.

GRIP, CONTROL AND STABILITY - DUAL ZONE SAFETY

To provide maximum comfort and first-class safety, the tread area of the tire is divided into two functional zones. The Dual Zone Safety concept consists of the Grip Zone, which ensures impressive winter grip, and the Handling Zone, which offers control and stability. The Grip Zone comes with small blocks and aggressive siping, which improves snow traction and braking properties. The Handling Zone contributes to the excellent handling properties on dry roads and at high speeds.

RELIABLE IN RAIN

The Alpine Grip compound tackles the demanding and cold winter conditions, while offering excellent performance in milder weather. It responds reliably to the rise and drop of temperature, as the compound stays flexible and grippy in a wide condition range. The new compound also comes with high silica content, which results in better wet grip. The rolling resistance is also on a premium level, which generates energy savings and reduces harmful emissions.

EQUIPPED FOR WINTER

The Alpine Sense Grip concept is the common feature in all Snowproof products. It is a unique combination of exceptional grip and predictable and balanced driving feel in all winter conditions. The concept consists of tread pattern, tailored siping and rubber compound working together supporting safe and comfortable driving. The tread design effectively removes snow and slush from between the tire and the road while the 3D siping ensures excellent grip during braking and cornering.

SAFELY ON THE SLUSH

The Alpine Grip 2.0 compound tackles the demanding and cold winter conditions, while offering excellent performance in milder weather. It responds reliably to the rise and drop of temperature, as the compound stays flexible and grippy in a wide condition range. The new compound also comes with high silica content, which results in better wet grip. The rolling resistance is also on a premium level, which generates energy savings and reduces harmful emissions.

GRIP, CONTROL AND STABILITY

To provide maximum comfort and first-class safety, the tread area of the tire is divided into two functional zones. The Dual Zone Safety concept consists of the Grip Zone, which ensures impressive winter grip, and the Handling Zone, which offers control and stability.

Designed to prevent dangerous aquaplaning, the Hydroflow Grooves on the tread will effectively remove water and slush from between the tire and the road. These grooves have been designed to open a clear path for the tire to pump water away from the road surface.

PATENTED SAFETY

Nokian Tyres Snowproof 2 features a Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), which helps you to know when you should change your tires. The weardown indicator shows the remaining tread depth in millimeters. The numbers fade away as the tire wears down. For safe winter driving, the required groove depth is between 4 and 5 millimetres. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the groove depth is four millimetres. Once the snowflake has worn out, purchasing new winter tires to ensure sufficient safety is recommended.
