Peace of Mind with Nokian Tyres' Driving Safety Indicators
Know Your Tread Depth Instantly with Nokian Tyres DSI and WSI

At Nokian Tyres, we believe in making your journey as safe and enjoyable as possible. That's why we've developed the Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) and the Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) to help drivers monitor the condition of their tires easily and effectively.
The DSI and WSI displays the remaining tread depth in millimetres directly on the tire, allowing you to see at a glance when it's time to replace your tires.
Benefits of Using DSI and WSI
How DSI and WSI Works

Nokian Tyres' DSI (Driving Safety Indicator) and WSI (Winter Safety Indicator) are located on the centre surface of the tire and shows the depth of the tire's main groove in millimetres that help you monitor the condition of your tires.
These symbols come in two variations:
- Rain drop for summer tires
- Snowflake for winter tires
As the tire wears down, these symbols gradually fade away, indicating the remaining tread depth, helping you keep track of your tire's condition and ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Why is Tread Depth Important?
Tread depth is essential for ensuring your tires provide optimal grip and performance on the road. As tires wear down, their ability to handle wet and slippery conditions decreases. The DSI helps you monitor your tire's tread depth, so you can replace them in a timely manner to enhance road safety and enjoy your journey.
