Nokian Heavy Tyres introduces a unique new product:
Nokian Tyres is the first tyre manufacturer in the world to introduce a new, radial forestry tyre, the Nokian Forest Rider intended for medium-sized cut-to-length forest machines. Nokian Forest Rider represents the latest tyre technology in forestry tyres. Nokian Heavy Tyres’ product development removed the major obstacle preventing the use of radial tyres in cut-to-length forest machines by combining the patented side puncture protection to the radial tyre structure.
The key innovation in the Nokian Forest Rider is the patented side puncture protection that makes the tyre durable and safe. Field test results show that the Nokian Forest Rider has better traction and moving properties, and lower rolling resistance than corresponding diagonal tyres. Nokian Forest Rider – like all Nokian Heavy Tyres products – is free of any HA oils. Products made without high aromatic oils manifest the possibilities enabled by modern technology in today’s world that values comprehensive responsibility.
The first Nokian Forest Rider tyres in the size 710/45 R26.5 will be available in October 2006. The product is aimed at all Nokian Heavy Tyres’ key markets: the Nordic countries, other European countries and the USA.
Nokian Heavy Tyres manufactures and develops special tyres for special machinery and forestry tyres form its key product segment. Nokian Heavy Tyres develops tyres for cut-to-length forest machines developed in the Nordic countries and is the world market leader in this industry. The product range includes also special agricultural tyres and tyres to various industrial machines.
