Our tradition of giving back to our communities goes back to the early 1900s when our company built housing for the personnel. We affect our local communities in many ways: In Nokia, Finland we are one of the major employers. In Russia, we have built housing for our personnel. The taxes that we pay support the well-being of people in different countries. We are also actively involved in making road traffic safer. We believe that even small actions matter. Nokian Tyres selected for the DJSI World sustainability index

Nokian Tyres has been selected for Dow Jones’ DJSI World sustainability index. With a total sustainability score nearly twice as high as the industry average, Nokian Tyres significantly improved its results in the 2017 assessment. Nokian Tyres’ score of 78 points was only one point behind the industry’s best company globally.
